Q. How do I become an Authorized Tall Model Ships Dealer?
A. You may call the customer service department at (800) 882-5221. Upon
approval, you will be issued an account number which may be used to log on to
the dealer portion of our website. You will be able to access pricing and place
orders on our secure site.
Q. What are your order minimums? Do you have minimum
order quantities for your product?
A. The opening order minimum is $500 with a reorder minimum $150.00.
Q. How can I request a catalog?
A. You can contact the customer service department at (800) 882-5221, however
all of models are available online.
Q. Can I print your wholesale pricelist from the website?
A. A printed version of our pricelist is not available on our website.
Q. Do you allow drop shipping?
A. Yes, please contact us at (800) 882-5221 for our policy.
Q. How do you ship? What is your shipping time?
A. The majority of US shipments are sent by DHL Express. In some instances,
based on the size and weight of the shipment, orders may be shipped by common
carrier. At your request we can ship by Federal Express, US Postal Service or a
specified commercial trucking company.
Tall Model Ships makes every effort possible to consolidate orders to reduce
multiple freight charges.
Q. Can you automatically email order confirmations?
A. Yes, please request this service and provide a valid email address.
Q. Can I get a tracking number for my shipments?
A. Yes, tracking information will be sent to your email account if you have
supplied a current email address.
Q. What is your return policy?
A. For US customers, inspect goods upon receipt. Report shortages, damages or
defects within 14 days of receipt. No returns will be accepted without prior
approval. Returns must have an assigned Returned Goods Authorization number and
be returned to Tall Model Ships within 60 days. Canadian customers are
responsible for returning defective products.
Q. What are your guidelines for carrying AM product on a
website?
A. Tall Model Ships has specific guidelines for websites such as our MAP Policy
and all websites must receive approval by AM before using copyrighted text or
photographs of Tall Model Ships product.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Yes, we ship worldwide frequently.
Q. Are all your models currently in stock?
A. We keep a significant number of all of our models in stock both in Los
Angeles and Gothenburg, Sweden that are ready for immediate shipping. For
large or container sized orders, please contact us.

Q. Who builds these model ships?
A. We do! We are the manufacturer with 4 factories in Asia along with
a final assembly and inspection facilities in Gothenburg, Sweden and Los
Angeles, California.
Q. How are these models built?
A. The models are built using a combination of old-world skills and 21st-century technology, for starters. The thousands of pieces and components that make up each model are created from 3-D modeling, and assembled by master craftsmen from scratch. The sails and riggings are painstakingly tied by hand, and each ship is masterfully painted to match its historical counterpart.
Q. Can you custom build any
model?
A. Yes, we can make any model, any size at any quality. We have built
Gothenburg tall ship models for the Swedish government, an 18 foot Pirate ship
for the San Diego Museum of Art along with hundreds of other custom orders.
Q. Are all your models fully assembled?
A. Yes! There is absolutely no assembly required. We do not sell
kits.
Q. How do you package your models?
A. Our models are professionally packaged and guaranteed to arrive undamaged. The model rest in stryo-foam, is surrounded by a wooden crate and then strapped down to ensure that it cannot move. Styro-foam sheets then surround the wood crate. Click here to to learn more.
